General Scholarship Application

The Stock Farm Greater Ravalli Foundation Scholarship is for students who demonstrate an exceptional desire and commitment to further their education and training. The Stock Farm Greater Ravalli Foundation was started in 2002 and has given 404 scholarships to high school seniors attending public schools in Ravalli County totaling over $4.5 million since 2004.

This year we are awarding 41 scholarships!

It is a two-year $12,000 ($6,000/year) scholarship. Good for use at ANY accredited post-secondary school.

For students that stay in Montana and attend Carroll College, Montana State University, Montana Tech, Rocky Mountain College, The University of Montana, The University of Montana Western will provide scholarship funding for use in your junior and senior years provided you meet the criteria, making it a four-year scholarship.

Eligible applicants must:

  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or greater.
  • Be graduating from a Ravalli County public high school during the current school year.
  • Attended the last two years of public high school in Ravalli County.
  • Plan to attend an accredited post-secondary school full-time (in-state or out of state). This includes technical schools plus two-year or four-year programs.
  • If there are extenuating circumstances, you can still apply.
  • Submit ENTIRE SAI (Student Aid Index) and FAFSA submission summary.
  • Complete an application and submit all requested materials by the deadline.

Special consideration will be given to financial need.

SFGRF reserves the right to request FAFSA annually.

*If your extenuating circumstances will create a hardship or prevent you from being able to attend college, you can still apply. Please provide a description of the situation in the box at the end of the financial statement section and we will take that into consideration.

How do I know if I'm eligible to apply for a SFGRF scholarship?

Do I have to attend a Montana college in order to receive a scholarship?

You DO NOT have to attend a Montana college.

When do I need to have all my information uploaded and turned in?

 The deadline is February 15, but we highly encourage you to turn it in as soon as possible. That way if there is any missing information, we can get it taken care of before the deadline.

How do I know if I submitted my application correctly?

You will receive a confirmation e-mail saying you have submitted.

What is SAI, and how do I get this information?

Your Student Aid Index (SAI) is a paper or electronic document that gives you some basic information about your eligibility for Federal student aid as well as listing your answers to the FAFSA questions.

To obtain your SAI you must complete and submit a FAFSA application. Once it has been processed, you can obtain a copy by logging in to fafsa.gov using your FSA ID and selecting the “View or Print your Student Aid Index (SAI)” option near the middle of the “My FAFSA” page.

How do I get back to the Submittable link to continue working on my application?

Visit https://manager.submittable.com/login and use the e-mail and password you used to create your account. If you cannot remember your password, click the Forgot? link to reset.

What is this scholarship applied to?

Tuition, fees, room and board–on or off campus, and books.

What do I have to do after receiving this scholarship?

Submit your official transcript after each semester for the first four semesters and a recap after each year of school.  You may also be asked to keep in touch and provide current contact information after graduation in order to update our records
